I had not looked at my body in the mirror in a long time afraid of what I might see. I had always avoided the mirror because the reflection in the mirror brought me great heartache. I never saw anything I liked in the person looking back at me. People would say “you’re so tiny”, and I would feel like they were just patronizing me. I would get so angry that people would say such things to me that I would just sit in my room and cry. Praying “God please, I don’t care about money just let me be pretty and skinny.” I was stuck in this world where being beautiful having the ideal body ruled everything around me. In order to fit in you had to be beautiful and thin, neither of which I felt I had. My body got to the point where I had no energy through my senior year I could barely wake myself up in the morning. I weighed about 92 lbs. I decided to take a look at myself in the mirror, I was horrified. I had a hollow face and dark circles under my eyes, but I could see a drape of Disgusting fat around my body.
