Here is the pain and tears I had to endure due to a situation that could have been avoided– If I only I new the Facts.

Personal Experience

August 15, 2007---a date I could never forget. The day my world turned upside down and mind raced with thoughts my body drenched with pain. I wondered what I did to deserve this kind of pain- emotionally and physically. I questioned how everything can turn upside down in less than twenty-four hours. I came to this hospital of death to fix a bad kidney infection, but I ended up stunned with news that will change my life drastically.

“…You are pregnant…” The doctor of death informed me. Immediately stunned by the news, but questioning the problems and the reasoning for the pain. The pain, being so unbearable, made me believe I was miscarrying. I tried to ask questions, but the pain medicine kept me in a daze. Within seconds suddenly another doctor of an expertise of women and babies comes in and take control. While the doctor examined me, I glanced over towards my mother to find her mumbling, “What did I do wrong?”  That moment I burst into tears to realize what I truly did. Apologizes was all I could mummer, but I want to say so much more but I couldn’t form the words to say them. I couldn’t believe allowed myself to sink so far to where I was disappointed in myself, because of my ignorant choices.

What got me in this point of my life in the first place? Why did I disappoint the people that I love so much? These questions I rather not answer for the fact I don’t know how.

As the doctor finished examining me and locating the baby on the monitor, but my eyes it only appeared to be a blob on the monitor. The doctor said that the cause of all the pain was due to a cyst on my ovary, which in this case needed to be removed.  That called for SURGERY! He immediately said, “There is a forty percent chance the baby would die cause of the procedure.” At that moment I just blacked out. In to a deep slumber…this at this time seemed better than all this chaos.

I woke up hours later, unable to move and in extreme pain rushing through my body. Without hesitation I tried to go back to sleep, because at the time I really didn’t want to face reality…at least…not yet. Scared and worried, but my anxiety got even worse when the doctor came in to explain everything. The visit from my doctor seems to be nothing of a blur to me now. The doctor tried to explain everything, but I just truly didn’t comprehend anything that came out of his foreign mouth. The doctor left me confused state of mind; so I had someone tried to explain it to me what happen in terms I would comprehend. It turns out that the doctor went into surgery not knowing the true extent of the problems and only believed a simply surgery would fix an effortless problem—remove a cyst). A growing fetus, with eyes and a small little heart beat, growing inside my fallopian tube which caused it to rupture my fallopian tube, but also killing a precious miracle.  Yes—I say a miracle, because that little precious life was a part of me.
