The volunteers who exercised and were given the antagonist were as stressed as the ones’ who didn’t exercise indicating that exercise affects the opiod system to help lower blood pressure. McCubbin says that physical conditioning isn’t the only form of training that can help keep one less stressed but that relaxation methods and even meditation such as yoga can help open up your blood flow. Making it seem that positive emotions from some form of exercise are what affects our stress levels. (qtd. Zaurtra 61-63, 73-77, 87-89) Although exercise takes lots of time and energy it has many benefits such as having more energy, staying in shape, and psychologically keeping you happier. As we have already learned when you have positive emotions or thoughts, such as from exercising, your health improves and you are less susceptible to sickness.
