Diabetes is a major health hazard in the United States. It affects children and adults alike. There are things that you can do to help prevent developing diabetes. Or if you have developed diabetes these things can lessen the effect on your body. Lowering your stress level, exercise, and watching your eating habits are three ways to have a health life even if you have developed diabetes.

Speaking on how effective the research was Richard Surwit, lead researcher of the study stated, “The change is nearly as large as you would expect to see from some diabetes –control drugs.” In other words, the affect of learning to deal with the stress in a person’s life can reduce glucose levels just as much as some of the medications that a diabetic may have to take.
